The time-based storyline and mechanic works wonderfully, as it forces you to think laterally. Dishonored emphasized a long-term investment in Corvo's character, forcing players to dedicate dozens of hours of gameplay to accomplish their activities. Deathloop, like Arkane’s other works, is a unique AAA game thats both familiar and strange. Play Deathloop long enough, and the shine wears off a bit. At least, thats what I was thinking one hour into my five-hour preview of Arkane Studios upcoming blockbuster. While Deathloop resembles Dishonored with its gameplay and world, it improves the game's formula with more fast-paced action. The game is a never ending chaotic party.
